Engage in a guided field study alongside eminent naturalists and ornithologists. Comprehend the incredible on a Silversea Expedition voyage, where the destination is only the beginning.

Entertainment

The ocean views and soothing sound of the surf can be quite intoxicating at sea, so it’s not surprising that daydreaming on deck is one of the most popular pastimes. However, every Silversea all inclusive cruise also includes a considerable number of more active pursuits — some for the body, some for the mind … and some just for fun.

Explorer Lounge

The Explorer Lounge located on Deck 4 is specially designed to give guests an uninterrupted view of the destination from the comfort of the ship’s interior. This is where all Lectures, Briefings and social gatherings take place. During Cocktail hours and after dinner, a piano player will perform the entertainment.

HealthFitness

Although the emphasis onboard Silversea's Expedition cruises is the adventure, it doesn't mean you have to miss out on the chance to lie back relax and treat yourself to a massage. Or if staying active is more your thing than hope onto one of the ship's treadmills and work up a sweat.

Beauty and Massage Room

Onboard services in the Beauty and Massage Room include hair styling, manicures, pedicures, massages and other spa treatments. Appointments for these services may be made onboard the ship. To ensure the dates and times you prefer, Silversea suggest you book your appointments early in your voyage. Customary charges will apply.

Fitness Centre

Silver Discoverer is equipped with a large Fitness room that is open daily. It offers four stationary bikes, two top machines, two leg extension machines and free weights.

Dress Code

Clothing Onboard the Ship- Shipboard attire ranges from casual to informal. Casual wear is appropriate for daytime aboard ship or ashore, and consists of standard sports outfits as worn at five-star resorts. Shoes should be flat or low heeled for deck activities. Evening attire is casual with the exception of the Captain’s Dinner, where jackets are recommended for men. On casual evenings, open-neck shirts, trousers and casual wear are appropriate. On the two informal evenings, women usually wear dresses or trouser suits; men wear jackets (tie optional). Remember to pack swimwear.

Clothing Ashore- The right gear is essential for enjoying the full experience of your Silversea Expedition without the limitations of weather and other conditions. Clothing that can be layered to accommodate different temperatures is most versatile and comfortable. A detailed packing list is provided at Silversea.com/expeditions. Click on Gear Shop. Don’t over pack. You don’t need a lot of clothing and accessories, but you do need the right gear to fully enjoy your expedition.

Medical Services

Silver Discoverer is equipped with a Medical Centre. A doctor is on 24-hour call when at sea. When docked, supplementary emergency care may also be obtained through local medical facilities. Guests may be charged for medical services and for medications used for their medical treatment. The Medical Centre is not intended or designed to provide ongoing treatment for pre-existing conditions or for extended critical care, and Silversea is not responsible for the
diagnosis, treatment or services furnished by shipboard medical personnel. Guests requiring oxygen for medical reasons are welcome to bring an oxygen concentrator onboard. Guests wishing to bring their own portable oxygen tanks must obtain prior written authorisation from Silversea, as restrictions may apply.
